The CS - 14 HYBRID is a 14 gauge 98 strand cable designed for internal wiring of loudspeaker cabinets, amplifiers and as general purpose wiring in high quality equipment. The CS - 14 HYBRID consists of 98 very pure OFC strands with a dense and very pure silver coating and, compared to its non-hybrid sister our CS - 14, contains an additional conductive Linear Structured Carbon ® (LSC) saturated layer which covers the centre conductor’s strands. This combination of metal and carbon (hybrid technology) has excellent properties when it comes to resolution and neutrality, and therefore is standardly applied in all of our heavier types of loudspeaker cables. The CS - 14 HYBRID furthermore has excellent soldering properties and its 98 strands give this cable a high flexibility; very helpful in difficult mounting situations. The resistance is: 0.88 Ohm/100 meter. The total conductor cross-section area is: 1.97 mm². The external diameter is: 4.0 mm. The jacket is made of our rugged and flexible HULLIFLEX ® 4 insulation material. The CS - 14 HYBRID is available in 3 colours: black, red and blue. The CS - 14 HYBRID is delivered on 200 meter reels with the cable ends closed with caps to prevent entrance of humid and/or polluted air, thus avoiding chemical deterioration. Shipping and packing: 1 x 200 meter reel in a 255 x 255 x 205 mm. box with a total shipping weight of 6.8 kg.
